Because of Winn Dixie
I love this book. This was one of my favorites in elementary school. This would be a good whole class book in order to make sure everyone understands the story. It would be a great way to incorporate characters, setting, and the writting process in the classroom. It is on a 610L reading level in the Lexile system.
